Cambridge exam 2020

Every year our fourth graders travel to Berlin to take the Cambridge Exam as a part of our Bilingual Program. It’s a great opportunity for our students to demonstrate their language skills and interact with other native speakers of English. Because of COVID-19 restrictions in the last school year, we couldn’t go to Berlin this year. As a school we decided to stay in Stendal instead and to take the exam at the language institute “Inlingua”. The students were accompanied by their teachers Mrs. Ehrhardt and Mrs. Lobban Brandt; who helped them prepare for the exam.

“Inlingua” hosted the Cambridge Exam for the first time and was very accommodating. All the students agreed that it was a great experience and that it was even fun to be able to talk to native speakers. Some students were somewhat nervous at first but could enjoy the examination because of the intensive preparation during the past four years.

The exam is divided into three parts: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Four of our students, Anna Bemmann, Benjamin Krone, Mylina Lobban Brandt and Emma Michelmann, performed exceptionally well and received the highest score in all three parts of the test. Congratulations! We are very proud of you!
